WHY THESE SITES
Power that already runs, not a place in a queue
A grid connection that exists, not one still being studied. For many plants, that can mean power years sooner than new generation or a new connection.
HOW IT WORKS
Only sites that fit
1
Tell us what you need: MW, regions, power type, buy or lease, and timeline.
2
We qualify plants against it. Through our relationships with plant owners, our assessments, and public records, we bring you a package of generation options that outline generation specifications, backup, grid connection rights, and the status of various permits and contracts on power, land, water, fiber, and zoning.
3
You get a one-page card for each matching site, then an introduction to the owner, or terms directly where we hold an option on the site.
EQUIPMENT, IF YOU HAVE YOUR SITE
Need generation at your own site?
Some of these plants have turbines and engines that can be moved. That can be quicker than waiting for new equipment. Tell us what you need, and we'll say who could supply it.
FULL DISCLOSURE OF TRADE-OFFS AND RISKS
Meeting your needs with full disclosure
If a site only has one or two generating units, we will build a plan for backup from the grid, batteries or on-site generators. We say what we know and what we don't on every card.
Compass works with plant owners and computing operators. We tell all parties in writing about how we're paid before making any introductions.
